Klausmobile Tube Tester Files
Saratov, 05/1970 - This video amplifier tube seems similar to EL84. Pinout as in EL83/SV83, yet current/voltage ratings are higher than SV83, and even higher than 6P14P, yet Pa limit is set to 12W. The tube in my lot is EV grade with mechanical improvements. Recommended operation is similar to Svetlana's SV83, and I guess that SV83 is an earlier, regular grade 6P15P. Sorry for too many graphics, this tube seems quite interesting. Absolutely no oscillation problems in either pentode or triode modes.

PENTODE MODE TESTS
I tried a separate 75V regulated PS for manual pentode mode tests (with 390 Ohm safety R in G2 supply). For whatever it's worth, at least it can indicate something. For example, G2 transconductance at (Ua=200V, Ug1=-1.0V) is around 0.4 mA/V. G1 transconductance at Ug2=75V is about 8mA/V max, but it's only 1/2 of rated current. Mu around 500 gives Rp=60K, note that it is decreased by inline resistor in G2 network.
Low-voltage curve closeup: the kink at +10..15V is a continuous 'tetrode' feature, not a test artifact.
TRIODE MODE TESTS
Curve at normal Uheater, max available power.
What about using this tube as a driver stage at lower currents?
Gm measurements - this sample is slightly better in Gm than datasheet numbers. Otherwise, it's similar to Saratov-built EL84.
Here an EL84 (Saratov 2000) curve set is superimposed on 6P15P curves... or the other way around ... who cares - they are identical.
